ezLCD modules are a complete display solution. The ezLCD controller board has the LCD mounted to it and contains all the electronics for controlling the LCD on it. The ezLCD hardware and firmware is optimized for graphical user interface ease of use and speed. By letting ezLCD do this 'heavy lifting' you can focus on your application expertise and not have to reinvent graphical hardware and software. ezLCD electronics are configured with graphics and fonts by the ezLCDrom configuration tool. ezLCD's firmware gives you the combined options of recalling pre-flashed graphics with the ICON command . Full screen ICON bitmaps are displayed in 200 millisecond while a button sized icon in less then 50 milliseconds. High level drawing commands and the PICTURE command allow your host microcontroller to create graphics on the fly. This is not an effective option with other serial LCD's which are limited by serial port speed. The ezLCD gives USB, I2C and parallel interfaces to hook to your host for higher performance.
